“I did my final internship at Contec where I had the chance to work for a large company in Belgium. I worked with a team that integrated me into the world of automation. I started to develop the human-machine interface and after a few weeks, the programmable logic controller. After my diploma in electrical studies and automation, I joined Contec France team. At that time, Contec gave me the opportunity to work independently on the automation of a new water treatment station for the capital of Niger (Africa). This project consisted in pumping water from the river, treating it and then sending it to the population of Niamey. The programming languages, HMI and types of PLCs used in Africa are not common in Europe, I had to learn to use them and this was my challenge. The startup of this station was both interesting and exciting, in particular the fact of giving to the population the opportunity to obtain additional well-being.Thanks to Contec, I gained experience in programming but also in communication with clients. I hope this is just the beginning, I still have a lot to learn.”
