Our solutions
Compliance and control at every step
In laboratories, cleanrooms, and synthesis plants, every process is a balance between scientific precision and operational discipline. The work behind fine chemicals and life sciences is rarely visible to the outside world, but its impact is felt everywhere, from the medications we rely on to the materials that power innovation.
These environments demand more than just technical performance. They require control, traceability, and absolute confidence in every step.
At Contec, we work alongside manufacturers and research-driven companies to support the infrastructure behind critical production. Whether handling active ingredients, specialty compounds, or biotech processes, we help ensure that operations are safe, compliant and built for continuity.
Supporting the science behind the scenes
The challenges in this field are unique: multi-stage production, sensitive materials, strict environmental requirements, and regulatory oversight at every level. What happens on the shop floor must be as controlled as what happens in the lab — and traceable long after the batch is complete.
With decades of experience in controlled environments, Contec supports clients in building and maintaining operations that meet the highest standards and not just in performance, but in trust.
Focus areas we support:
- Batch integrity and traceability
Ensure full transparency from raw material intake to final product release - Environmental control
Manage cleanroom zones, HVAC systems, and contamination risks with precision - Process safety and reliability
Design systems to minimize risk in exothermic reactions, pressure control, and hazardous handling - Controlled access and zoning
Align physical movement and permissions with GMP and biosafety requirements
- Deviation detection and escalation
Integrated alerting for anomalies, excursions, or process drift - Validated procedures
Ensure equipment, workflows, and records meet global compliance frameworks - Data integrity and audit readiness
Support for full recordkeeping aligned with 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11, and ISO standards - Scalability without compromise
Support facility expansions or process changes without disrupting compliance
Cases
Steel Control Systems in the Heavy Steel Industry
To modernize a legacy inspection and repair line for steel coils, Contec was entrusted with a full electrical revamp for a steel manufacturer located in the Liège region. The client’s original setup was controlled by two console-mounted cabinets and a third relay-based electrical cabinet operating two DC motors via DC drives. This outdated setup posed both operational limitations and safety concerns.
